An amazing donation of a £300,000.00 to a total of 17 Blood Bike Groups was made possible by the invaluable contributions made by so many towards the MBF Walk through the London Parks last May. As you may recall the Warwickshire Team managed to raise almost £20,000.
Blood Bike operations in our Province, will now benefit from the purchase of a new bike in Solihull and a Skoda 4×4 to keep them on the road in Birmingham thanks to our Marvellous Mark generosity. Provincial Grand Charity Steward, W Bro Nigel Clemson, a former police motorcycle rider himself and not unknown to fast riding down the M6 and M5 with some urgently needed transplant organ was heard to say ‘these are serious pieces of kit’! It is great to see our hard work now being put to such good use and once again many thanks to all who contributed.
Midland Blood Bikes are a voluntary organisation established in 2009 and part of the Nationwide Association of Blood Bikes, set-up to provide an out-of-hours and emergency rider service to NHS hospitals throughout the country.
“We are thrilled to announce we have been awarded a brand new Skoda 4×4 courtesy of Mark Master Masons. They have donated £300,000 to 17 Blood Bike groups that are members of the Nationwide Association of Blood Bikes. 9 bikes and 8 cars between us all. As you have seen again this week, our car has managed to keep our service going despite the bad weather. So on behalf of all of us here at Midland Freewheelers
the biggest of THANK YOU’s. You are amazing. – Midland Freewheelers Blood Bikes“
