Friends,

2024; in the words of Frank Sinatra ‘it was a very good year’, one which I hope you have enjoyed whilst being conscious that several of our dearest friends were called to higher service with the Great Overseer of the Universe. They are remembered with love, happy memories and our thoughts for their families.

I have enjoyed presiding at some fantastic Installations and most especially advancements and elevations where I witnessed some wonderful ritual performed in brilliant style. I have then seen brethren going ‘over and above’ by giving brilliant renditions of other work, including explanations of tracing boards and lectures. As ever, our Acting Provincial Officers have been outstanding with faultless delivery of addresses and others providing reliable support, meeting in meeting out. Thank you and a very well done to all.

I also pay tribute to all who keep our Lodges and meetings well organised, our Secretaries and Treasurers and those who attend meetings regularly adding to the atmosphere of our gatherings.

And of course we had a wonderful Provincial Meeting just last month, which was particularly special for me. Once again I thank R.W.Bro Phil Wills for all he did; he will be a hard act to follow.

As we move into 2025 I am confident that we will continue to live the values of our wonderful order; continue to grow our order; to care for each other and to build on our successful fundraising efforts for our 2027 Mark Benevolent Fund Festival.

Karen and I wish you all a wonderful Festive Season and a very happy New Year. We have decided instead of sending Christmas Cards this year we will make a donation to the Festival.
