Shakespeare Mark No.40 TI
Is it Right for Me?
If you are already a Master Mason, then you already know that Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest and largest non-religious, non-political, fraternal and charitable organisations, providing an environment for people from all backgrounds to make lasting friendships, achieve their individual potential and have fun, so why become a Mark Master Mason?
However, if you have yet to join the organisation and become a Freemason, then it’s important for you to know that Freemasonry is open to all men of over 21 years of age, regardless of social or economic background, race, or religion. The very nature of Freemasonry is to regard all of us as one family. All our members have different jobs and employment paths and so it’s likely you will have something in common with some of us right from the beginning.
Freemasonry is open to all men, regardless of religion. How individual members practice their particular beliefs is their business, it is not the business of Freemasonry. Members are not permitted to discuss religion or politics in the Lodge as such matters are the business of the individual and are respected at all times. To become a Freemason, the individual needs to have a belief in something greater than themselves in the universe – a Supreme Being.
Is Mark Masonry for me?
That is one of those questions which we can’t truly answer with a simple Yes or No. Whether you are looking to take your first step in Freemasonry or are a Master Mason and wondering what your next step is, the Masonic Order of Mark Master Masons enables its members to understand more fully the stages or Degrees of Freemasonry by providing many of the answers to questions posed to the individual as they become a member.
In addition, as a Mark Master Mason you learn further key aspects about yourself as an individual and your responsibilities to others, in essence to make your mark on life. To help begin answering the question we have provided some general information in an open manner below and extend the invitation that if you wish to pursue that question further, then to please contact the Provincial Grand Secretary or complete the on-line form.
