Installation of W.Bro. Gregory Boughton at Provincial Grand Wardens Lodge No. 2035
On a crisp Saturday, February 22nd, the venerable Arnold House in Rugby played host to the
third annual Installation meeting of the Provincial Grand Wardens Lodge of Mark Master
Masons no 2035. This significant occasion drew together a distinguished gathering from
around the country, reflecting the strength and camaraderie of Warwickshire Mark Masonry.
The Lodge, uniquely composed of Past and Present active Provincial Wardens, from any Mark
Province, witnessed the installation of W Bro Gregory Boughton into the Master’s chair. A
total of 26 dedicated Lodge members were joined by a substantial number of esteemed
visitors, underscoring the importance of the event. Notably, the Provincial Grand Master of
Warwickshire, Right Worshipful Brother Andrew Armbrister, graced the meeting with his
presence, accompanied by the Assistant Provincial Grand Master, Worshipful Brother Ian
Belsham. Further enhancing the occasion were numerous active Officers of the Warwickshire
Provincial Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons, including Worshipful Brother David Griffiths,
Grand Senior Deacon, and Worshipful Brother Anthony Marshall, Grand Steward.
The Installation Ceremony, a cornerstone of Masonic tradition, was executed with exceptional
skill and reverence by Installing Master, Worshipful Brother Paul Milner. His meticulous
attention to detail and dignified delivery were met with profound appreciation from all
present, including the Provincial Grand Master himself. The ceremony’s impact was a
testament to the dedication and ritualistic excellence that define the Mark Degree.
The Mark Master Mason Degree, a progression within Freemasonry, emphasizes the
importance of individual contribution and the symbolic ‘marking’ of one’s work. The Provincial
Grand Wardens Lodge, comprised of those who have already demonstrated significant
service to the Mark degree, exemplifies these principles.
The atmosphere at Arnold House was one of warmth and fraternal harmony, reinforcing the
bonds that unite Mark Master Masons. The successful installation of W Bro Gregory Boughton marks a new chapter for the Lodge, promising continued dedication to the principles of Mark Masonry and the service of the community. The meeting concluded with a convivial festive board, allowing members and visitors to further strengthen their connections and celebrate amemorable occasion.
